Hello, I am Emmy Vickers, a passionate photographer who loves taking photos of landscapes, animals, wildlife, and nature (l.a.w.n.). I've also added landmarks to this niche (famous and hidden treasures)!! Every so often I will sneak in 'food' pics. Who doesn't love food!
As you view thru the various scenes, I take you on a journey that is fun and exciting, maybe even thought-provoking. I am originally from Hartford, CT, college brought me to the Washington, DC area. Meeting my soul mate kept me in the area. In 2000 I became an entrepreneur which lead me to becoming a published author and a 2009 award-winning entrepreneur. In addition, I am a proud wife of 34 years to a wonderful caring and supportive husband. In 2013, I began to rekindle my love of photography. And in 2019, I won my first two photography awards; in 2021 won 4 more including my first Blue Ribbon (1st place).
I believe in seeing beyond what is in front of you. Photography allows me to capture just that. I see beauty in everything...from the smallest of the small to the grandeur of our universe. I truly embrace it all. My niche is landscapes, animals, wildlife, and nature (l.a.w.n.).
Photography allows me to experience the world in a different light and to help others do the same. It's a way to share with others laughter, joy, sadness, pain, hope, beauty and life. Photography is a passion! It's part of my journey to knowing who I am and to appreciate the amazing world we live in. It is through my lens that I have been able to make a difference in others' lives (smile, laugh, spark hope, and even inspire).
In addition to photography, I love traveling, cruising, fishing, tennis, casinos, 85 degree weather, learning, philanthropy work, and time with hubby, friends and family.
I look forward to continuously bringing a variety of photos for you to choose from to decorate your home, office, hotel or B&B property or as a gift to yourself or someone you know. I am also excited about meeting and networking with other FAA members throughout the world and helping them to promote their amazing works of art!
