Elissa Tree is a passionate artist whose journey has been like her canvases painted with Love, Inspiration, Imagination, and Resilience. From her earliest days of childhood she has dedicated herself to creating Magical and Uplifting art springing from her Mind and her Heart with the intention to make those viewing her art feel good.
Early forays into painting eventually led Elissa to the esteemed Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles for high school honor art classes. This experience paved her way as a Fine Arts major at San Jose State College, where she sold her first painting and marking the beginning of her artistic career.
Life has adorned Elissa's path with many unexpected challenges, from needing to leave rural living and move on to big city life; navigating the demands of single parenthood and earning a living; caring for her elder parents; rescuing feral cats and homeless dogs, and facing the loss of vision in her right eye. Through it all, Elissa followed her need to be creative with paintings that echoed her odyssey. As she was unable to travel far from home throughout much of her adult life, Elissa painted the life around her, each painting a tale infused with the humor, love, magic, and whimsy she found in Life.
Participating in numerous art shows and exhibiting in galleries, Elissa has garnered recognition and awards for her creations, reflecting her deep commitment to art and the human spirit, channeling her experiences into creating art that brings joy and positivity to others.
