I was born and raised in Orange County, California, not too far from the Pacific Ocean. My childhood and teens took me through the turbulent and colorful decades of the fifties and sixties, graduating from High School in 1969. I always had a great passion for the ocean, creating art and building things, and learned a lot about carpentry from my father.
My Career as an Industrial Designer began by completing a four year degree in Product and Transportation Design at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. (BSID, 1983) I later received an MBA in 1999 from the George Washington University, Washington DC)
I have been married to a beautiful, talented and intelligent woman, Gretchen, for five decades, now. We are best friends/buddies and enjoy traveling through life together.
In my professional design career, I was fortunate to work as a corporate designer (in-house, in R&D) for Honda North America (3 years), US Suzuki Motors (two years), Fisher-Price Toys (six years) and Newell-Rubbermaid, RCP (22 years).
I am now retired, and live next to the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia, USA. I enjoy creating new art pieces daily and exhibit my work at local galleries. I work in fine art paintings, wood sculptures, blown-glass pieces and jewelry.
