My artwork is inspired by music, movies, landmarks and landscapes.   I love mixing unexpected colors and images together.   When I was a child and as an adult, I mostly drew portraits.   Since then my tastes have changed and I switched to a combination of abstract and realistic art, sometimes with a touch of whimsy.   When I start a painting with an image in mind, many times the finished painting is nothing like I imagined and becomes a 'happy mistake.'
