I am fascinated by pattern, not only in design, but also in the everyday objects that run past me daily. Little curiosities can send me off on a path of exploration that can consume me. With a little help from Photoshop, I can transform a tiny curio into an extravaganza of colour and pattern. I get a little lost within it from time to time, but then I quite like that. You never know what/where you're going to get to. It can be quite a fabulous little journey.
I love seeing the design I create translated onto a product, not just on a canvas, or in a frame. I like the temporary affairs we have with the imagery in our lives, whether it's on a cushion, or on a Tshirt. I still have a Tshirt from when I was 9; of course it no longer fits, but I still love the picture.
I also adore old photographs, and spend evenings happily restoring them to their former glory. By adding colour to them, the life of the person leaps out at you. The old silver plates have so much information within them, more than can imagine. If you require any restoration, please feel free to contact me.
