Debbie Downs is a self taught artist who has been drawing since she was a young girl.Her husband who is also an artist encouraged her to pick up a paint brush about eleven years ago and she hasn’t stopped since. Working in the corporate world for 30 years allowed Debbie little time to spend in what she loves. When she was laid off in 2009 she finally had time to hit the canvas! She has always been a creator, she writes short stories, poetry, is a photographer, sews, gardens, loves taking old furniture and making it beautiful, doing room redo’s and is always up for a challenge!
Debbie is from the Atlanta area and a southern girl through and through! She is married and has a son who is 26 and daughter who is 28. Her children are also artists! She puts God first in her life and says He is with her through every stroke! She is a member of NorthStar Church in Kennesaw, GA.
