After earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pennsylvania State University, I entered the United States Air Force as an Officer stationed in Germany and Italy.
As a professional Architect, I returned to Syracuse, NY to work for King & King Architects and the Syracuse VA Medical Center. Most of my architectural career has been in private practice but briefly worked for KEO International in Kuwait as Senior Architect and then SMRT Architects in Portland, Maine. After moving to Bedford Hills, New York, I formed Sawmill Studio to embrace Architecture, Sculpture and Painting.
I have had a lifetime of independent drawing, painting and sculpture studies, workshops and courses that include: The Carving Studio, W. Rutland, Vermont; Haystack, Mountain School of Crafts, Maine; Brookfield Craft Center, Brookfield, CT; the Maine College of Art in Portland; and the Dellatolas Marble Sculpture Studio, Tinos, Greece. I am a member of the Reilly League of Artists in White Plains, NY., devoted to refining my figure drawing skills.
I have been able to share my artistic talents through teaching and volunteer efforts that include: Department of Design Adjunct Professor, Syracuse University; co-founder of non-profit organization, 'Success Through Art', Berlin, New Hampshire; creator of an 'Artistic Vision for Berlin' presented to City of Berlin, NH; and Art sessions on the Therapeutic Behavior Unit, Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women, NY.
Currently, I paint in my Bedford Hills studio.
