Danny Phillip's art focuses on authenticity, age, and the historical relevance of objects in places. Specifically, he loves textures and layers.
Using primarily recycled materials: magazines, paper and paints; all of his pieces are handmade in his Austin studio. As a self-taught artist, Danny has been focusing on mixed media and collage art and his work has been featured in galleries in Texas, along the East Coast and Australia.
Danny is also co-owner of In Your Space Collaborative Arts, where he functions as art director leading crews to do wall effects, murals and cabinetry finishes. He has been co-running the company for 8 yrs and has been featured in several magazines.
Growing up on the East Coast (and being a life-long beach lover), many of Danny's art pieces are inspired by his travel and the places he has visited. One critic has claimed that Danny's art can truly transport people to faraway places. It has been described as having a sunny, relaxed feeling, and you will find that to be true.
