As a young girl, I hung out with Great-Grandma, Helen Mae (Enoch) Gleiforst, who was a noted California Impressionist artist, and watched her paint in her studio.   She did wonderful landscapes and gardens and florals.   Though G-G was certainly an influence in terms of first perking my interest in art, of much greater influence, however, was my mom, also an artist, and the good deal of time I spent hanging out with her in the Santa Barbara City College Art Department.   There my mom not only created art but also was a TA for art history and the basic understanding art...more
