I make paintings in acrylic
My earlier paintings were in watercolor, Wash, and Tempera techniques on paper and silk. These are in traditional Indian art style, where warm earth tones are commonly used. Generally, Indian paintings are very ornate and detail-oriented with less emphasis on perspective, proportions, or depth. Simple village life, traditional celebrations or mythological stories are mostly used for the subject matter; for example, stories of Lord Krishna's life. Some of these paintings are included in the gallery.
Presently, I paint with acrylic because of its versatility and ability to emulate the styles of watercolor and oil. Even though I have focused my energy on painting landscapes; I incorporate details, fine brush strokes, and bright colors in my paintings. I invite you to see my different styles of paintings which include all three media.
Recently I have started to make impressionistic style impasto paintings with heavy texture. Prints, unfortunately can't show the texture but all my art is very colorful, appropriate for any setting
