I am a beginner artist. I am taking classes at Arizona State University. My major is Art Education and of course I want to be an art teacher!
I am from the growing city of Casa Grande, Arizona. Growing up with family all around me and only one sibling, my brother. My family is Hispanic and we follow some of the customs. I think my family plays a role in some of my artworks. In high school, I was only good in Math and Art and a lot of my art has a mathematical background as well. I was actually a math major for a year and a half but found my love for art to be stronger. Art classes I took at ASU are 2D, 3D, Color, Drawing 1, 2 and 3, intro to metals, and enamels.
Specialties - My focus is Drawing and Metalworking. I am currently taking both classes at ASU. I also like to paint but I have not tried oil painting yet! I'm super excited for it! I also like to try and take photographs of places I visit mostly in Arizona. I also make jewelry.
Mediums. - For drawings I work with a lot of colored chalk, charcoal, ink and graphite. I do use acrylics for paintings. In my metal works I use mostly copper and sterling silver as base metals. I just learned how to use enamels and love it! I work with tons of beads for jewelry making and experiment with both enamels and metals.
