Watercolors have always fascinated me, as have textures. So I sometimes combine rice paper or charcoal on my paintings. This adds an effect that I cannot achieve in any other way. The theme of nature with which my paintings deal is sometimes representational, other times more impressionistic, and occasionally abstract.
The beautiful countryside of Waupaca County provides me with an endless amount of inspirational subject matter. Our beautiful home and studio near Iola, Wisconsin was my own design and includes gallery space and work areas where I can give individual instruction. I have had my work accepted in over 200 exhibitions in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois, including sixteen national, eight international, and ten solo exhibits since I began painting in 1988. Among my awards and honors is the honor of being accepted into the Marquis ' Who's Who in the Midwest' and 'Who's Who in America' since 1998.
My home studio is named Green Tree Studio, and I am represented by Koerten Gallery of Stevens Point, The Center for Visual Arts in Wausau, the Little Wolf Gallery in Iola, as well as several local gift shops, such as the one in the Riverfront Arts Center of Stevens Point.
The 8' x 10' watercolors which are displayed in my gallery are top mounted onto mat boards and are easily mailed as gifts.
