Studying and producing two dimensional artwork since childhood. In 1959, at the age of seven, won first award granted by the Latham Foundation for Humane Treatment for their International Poster Contest. Raised in Hackensack, New Jersey, just outside of New York City, studied with Marius Schneiderman and Elizabeth Turner before leaving home to live and work in San Francisco, Aix-en-Provence, Antwerp and New York City.
