Water Lilies and Lotus Garden Flora
My fascination with water lilies is as old as time. The water lily grows under the water and rises to kiss the sun capturing my heart. I can never give justice to the water lily-like Monet. The artist is not perfect but drawn in being seduced by its beauty. The reflection upon the silky smooth surface reflects the lily's pull into my soul. My water lilies are photographed with these concepts in mind: reflection, light, and color. Each photograph has its own personality in how it's affected by the light and changing the color as the light hitsits petals. Many of my water lilies and company were all photographed in an Italian Gardens at the Biltmore estate during Summer and early Fall. Included are Koi, and Lotus. I have added painted images of my water lilies. Each altered water lily has designed independently for each image. I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed photographing them.
