My photography has become an evolution of melding images into art and allowing my artistic side to fly. Each image has its own life and story to tell. So come explore with me the world of art through my photography.
I was born and grew up in Miami Florida loving nature. In 2007, I took up a small digital camera while traveling North America with my husband Frank, our dog Gwen, and our cat Psycho. We finally settled in Western North Carolina loving the mountains.
As a painter life moved me in a different direction and windows opened. I have always laid out my composition before me. I have worked in all mediums at one time or another, but watercolor and pastel were my modes of choice.
During my travels, photography became a record of places and nature around me.
A little about my education and where I began: I majored in the Fine Arts at Florida International University where I received a BFA in painting. In addition, I spent a Summer Semester studying painting at the University of Avignon, in France.
My photographs have been featured in books, and on the cover of 'The Silver Ghost Tourer' magazine in 2016. Most recently in the 2023-2024 'A Look At Asheville' the best in Dining, Shopping & Sightseeing Book, Then & Now: 20 Asheville Landmarks.
