Blima is a Brazilian born, American fine artist. Her artistic talents were clearly genetic and evident at an early age, largely the result of being the daughter of an accomplished artist.
There is an aura of mystery that exudes from her paintings. A healing message is magically transplanted within each piece that she creates, directly affecting the observer, who is attracted by its magic. Blima experienced these messages and affirms that the healing is not necessarily physical, but emotional. The lucky individuals who have collected her art feel a balanced and harmonious presence within their homes.
Blima recently won 1st place at the Visual Arts Press Awards 2016, in the Figurative Painting category. All her pieces are done in Acrylic and Mixed Media.

Artist Statement
I am a painter living my own and other people's reality through my creations. My artistic purpose is to watch the world and study it; then capture the next moment and the next instant of its creation or motion. My acrylic paintings are storytellers in a surrealist way to be, yet filled with reality and visionary ideas, and I welcome you to experience my world.
This very special collection I am presenting now, is called “Subconscious Re-Creation”. My paintings aren’t planned; I play with colors and textures and allow my subconscious mind to guide my hands. Through the fabric of colors I notice hidden faces, objects, animals and whatever else my mind wants me to see. The results are even surprising to me, as I learn how easily my eyes can capture the images of my soul. Every piece delivers a message to the special viewer that only that person can feel and understand.
In my opinion, we will soon recognize that there is something beyond the brain that has not yet been localized and we will be able to document that. Some people, like me, are already experiencing this opening of the mind. Why shouldn’t I believe that I am a unique individual with the superpower capable of changing people’s lives? Better yet, I’m doing it through my art!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope I was able to make you feel special today ☺
