Nature photography has been my lifelong passion. Living in New Hampshire, New England gives me many outdoor photography opportunities. Most of my images are local to my town, where there are no breathtaking rocky mountains. My terrain is mostly hills, valleys, rivers, streams, deciduous woods & forests, White pine forests, and the landscape vistas which are classic to New England. My camera is an older model that lends itself to use of photo painting to make up for fewer pixels.
The architecture of New England is also of interest, as it often conveys a feeling of classic history with picturesque ambiance. My photography includes all seasons, often concentrating on flowers in the summer when the ubiquitous green of the landscape presents challenges. At these times I often take intimate landscapes, or near vignettes, to make the viewer feel connected to scenes of daily life. I am able to walk & hike on numerous trails and countryside dirt roads, where I try to catch the quintessential flavor of the New England region.
