Bertica García Dubus was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.   She began art studies in earnest at Saint Dominic College in St.   Charles, Illinois, where she received her B.A. degree in Fine Arts.   There, she immersed herself in many techniques and mediums, but was most attracted to the Classical/Realistic style of oil painting, which she has continued to explore and personalize since.   Upon graduating she continued her studies at the Art Institute of Chicago.   Through art she has discovered that the ability to see light and shadow, and recognize beauty in...more
