Barry Louwerse was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania.   A family move in his early teens placed him near the rolling hills of Delaware, Chester and Lancaster Counties in Pennsylvania.   It was here his love of old farm houses and barns began. 'I can remember taking weekend drives with my folks and coming to a bend in the road and I would catch a glimpse of an old barn peeking over a snow covered hill.   Turning in another direction I would see an old farm house nestled among a clump of trees at the corner of a pasture.'
