About Anna Belanger ~ Annabelle
I am a self- taught Canadian artist who continues to seek, discover and learn. I love Medieval, Edwardian, Gothic Victorian, Whimsical, Fairytale, Fantasy, and Surrealism. I incorporate these styles in my artwork.
I love creating art in a variety of mediums such as the traditional Acrylics, Inks, Charcoals, Pastels, Watercolors and Oils and the substrates vary from paper, fabric, wood, canvas to artists conks which I love to Woodburn and smell their aroma while designing an image. At the moment, Digital Art has become my present engagement. I am totally captivated with the multitude of possibilities an art piece can take on once subjected to digital rendering.
The Dreams of my Imagination become Reality through this Wonderful 21st Century Art Medium where Surreal, Dreamlike landscapes materialize from my Dreams of the Night and transport the viewer--much like a Tardis Time Travel Machine, to a different time and place escaping the reality of modern day life and the chaos that surrounds it.
I’ve always had a terrible weakness for beautiful but sad things.
Ghosts and Lonely Places, Mysterious Haunting Eyes, Spiders and Webs, Shimmering Stars and Magical Moons that Illuminate the Dark Corridors of the Night. You will notice these elements to no end of time throughout my artwork.
Somewhat Eclectic in nature I strive to create art that is never dull and indolent.
Art, the love affair of my heart!
