Allison Harris has been creating art for 20+ years. Drawing, pastels, watercolor, photography, and her favorite, acrylic painting. She grew up in Los Angeles, but has lived and traveled all over the US. Home, for her, is where her husband, son, and bulldog are. Everywhere else is just an address.
Words from the Artist: I guess you could say that I'm an eclectic artist. My work is whatever has inspired me at that moment. I'm sure, like many artists, I have more ideas in my head than I have ever put onto canvas or captured with my lens. My background is so varied and I've had so many experiences (like many people) , that I couldn't pin down any one thing to say that's where my inspiration come from.
I would have to say that I'm more a painter than a photographer. I look for inspiration for paintings, but happen to capture beautiful photos by just being in the right place at the right time. I love Fall and Winter most and I'm a big fan of trees. Have been all of my life. Trees remind me to stay strong in the storms, that those around me are counting on me to stay strong and healthy, and everything in life has it's season. Fall and Winter bring about some of the same emotions, but also inspires hope. We start fresh and grow in our wisdom. Things may look bleak for a while, but that short period of time will pass, and we will come back better than ever.
