Welcome to Adu Gindy Art! For 25 years, I was an artist, mentor, teacher and collector in Duluth, Minnesota. My art studio is now located in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District of Minneapolis, Minnesota. My paintings are in museum collections in the U.S., Sweden and Cuba.
I like to create dramatic and fanciful images of animals, bugs, gods and people, all living in one big universe. My working method is quick and gestural. The characters in these 12x12 inch square paintings tend to be whimsical, even cartoon-like at times. The images range from animals, people and houses, to landscapes and roads, incorporating my old and new surroundings (Duluth and Minneapolis) and reflecting upon friends and places I had left behind.
