As an artist, I consider myself to be as my company name implies, “”A” Existential Lotus”; a women continually exploring the psychological and spiritual boundlessness of the feminine soul. Born into the creative, musical and performing arts, my life experiences have given me a deep connection to, and love of, abstract forms of interpretation and expression which I find soothing inside the human experience. The visual arts, while relatively “new” to me, is an extension and expansion of a life expressed literally upon the stage. An extensive background in dance; from ballet to the exotic, I am able to feel the drama within the musical flow of my brushstrokes. Each women I paint, “speaks” to me her story. I sense her rhythm, her pain, her joy; for they are all inside of me. I ask through my work that the viewer take a deeper look, to reflect upon the “why” and “how” of their existence. Welcome and observe these ladies as a projection and allow them to speak also to you.
