I am a professional health care provider and a passionate photographer.
It started before the 'digital age' when I was in healthcare professional school. Photography was so expensive back then as I bought my first all manual nikon camera and few rolls of black and white film with student loan money. Scanning through the photographic section in Barn and Noble looking for a basic camera operation book, I was fascinated by those gorgeous landscape photographs that I found in these books and magazines. At that moment, I knew I was hooked, yet I only dream as if I will ever get 'there', even just one shot like these photos that I have seen. So my journey began with a small note book, a basic camera, few rolls of film, and some 'idol' photographs that I remember from those book. Practicing of what I have learned from the basic, I recorded my F stops, my shutter speeds, my exposures, the frame numbers, and some notes describing what I tried to achieve from the 'scenes'. As a student living on student loan money, I told myself to only photograph beautiful things that worth the cost of the films. Because of that, a roll of film would took averagely a week to completed. Ironically, by the time I got the developed images back from walgreens, I couldn't remember the darn things I was trying to achieve by looking at the notes I wrote from the note book. Yet the love of photography somehow kept me stumbling forward. Boys, that was years ago.
Through the years with work and family, I've became a vacationographer. My collection aren't much but landscapes and some floral photographs. However, as my kids growing, I found more free time to pursue my passion. I often heard my colleagues said that they don't know what they are going to do after retire. I, on the other side, already see my self with camera and tripod traveling the world.
