I am a full time artist and have worked for more than 20 years in the Dartmoor area of southwest England, UK.   The wild and atmospheric moorland never ceases to inspire and the wild coastlines of Devon and Cornwall are nearby.   I like to paint in pastel and enjoy its speed and versatility.   In my landscape work I am preoccupied with abstract qualities of light, atmosphere, color and texture.   I am interested in the way the landscape speaks to the spiritual in us, and my work is often about the evocative power of the landscape.   I have always loved drawing from as...more
