Renee Cirlincione Smith graduated from high school in New Jersey. Above is her high school picture. There she started sketching fashions and drawing from magazine models as she developed a love for art. She started college in Monmouth University, New Jersey, next to New York City. As a college freshman she switched her focus in art from fashion merchandising to an Art major as she realized that merchandising involved a lot of technical math. She wanted to focus more on the arts as an art major and theater minor. She acted in the Guggenheim Theater and was represented by an agent in Studio 34 who had her set up to be in a commercial and soap opera right before she was forced to move to Florida with her mother after her parents divorced. She transferred to Stetson University as an Art major, double minor of Theater and Education. There she developed her style as an artist and painted late into the nights at her easel in the art studio. Here she grew to love the potter's wheel, clay sculpture and oil painting. Her senior Art show featured a life size sculpture of a man and a triptych (a painting that has three panels placed next to each other) painting five feet tall of Heaven , Earth and Hell inspired by famous artist Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516). While a student at Stetson Renee's first paid art job was painting a mural of an ocean sunset in a cafe. A longboard surfboard was payment from award winning surfer and cafe' owner. She used the board in the Surf Club while in college.

Right after graduating from Stetson with a B.A. as an Art major and double minor in Theater and Education in 1990, Renee married Tige Smith and moved to Washington, D.C. There she taught first grade two blocks from The White House and entered Art competitions and had yearly exhibits in the D.C. area.

After two years in D.C. Renee moved to Tallahassee, Florida and started an Art business,
Paint 'n'Pottery. She had a potter's wheel and made pottery and did commission work. She had exhibits at the capital building and won awards for her at at the North Florida Fair. She sold her jewelry downtown as well.

After having children Renee became a home school teacher and taught Art workshops for homeschoolers. She also taught Art, Drama and Praise Dance at The Master's Academy of Fine Arts in Georgia when her family lived in Georgia. When her family lived in Wisconsin she had an Art exhibit which included dressers with drawers and mirrors with paintings on them. Her art continued when she moved to Cambodia in 2006 and taught Art to college aged students at Kompongsom Bible School. There she taught how to illustrate Scripture. When moving back from there to Florida Renee taught Art for grades K through 12th. In Florida her paintings, jewelry, sculpture and pottery were represented by Art Gallery Treasures of Madison. Now Renee teaches Art at Hope International School and sells her Art on americanframe.com and her jewelry in her shop getareneetoday on etsy.com Renee has illustrated and written two children's books for sale on teacherspayteachers.com.
