In January 2002, I was in Antarctica, representing my company on a United Nations-inspired environmental cleanup on King George Island.   I needed to take photos so that when I returned home, they would help to tell the story of 'Mission Antarctica' and the need of every person to reduce their environmental footprint in order to preserve our beautiful planet.   I'd never used a digital camera, but my generous boss loaned me a sturdy point-and-shoot Kodak, and although I really didn't know what I was doing, the scenery and wildlife was so inspiring that I took hundred and hundreds of pictures.   It...more
