I was born in Indiana, moved around the country my whole life, and spent most of my youth and adult life in Southern Florida. After retiring my husband and I are now living in Alabama, not my first choice but we're near family. Constantly moving meant constantly adjusting to new environments, new friends, new colleagues, new houses to make into homes. It was challenging. Growing up my mother was very creative and thankfully she worked with us kids to express ourselves in every creative way. We painted, quilted, sewed, crocheted, drew, we did every craft that came along. Art in every form became my escape as we went from town to town. It's so easy to immerse yourself in a painting or a craft project and forget all your troubles. My art became my therapy! The one thing that's always with me.
Currently, I have survived 2 cancers in the passed 4 years, non-Hodgkins lymphoma and kidney cancer.
I hope you enjoy viewing a sample of some of my pieces. Peace.
