For me, painting acts like an antidote to all that we have to put up with in life.   A painting, or the act of painting, stands against everything that insists that we have to work at a pace within deadlines and that to get noticed an image has to be constantly changing or sell you something.   A painting does not do much � it just sits there on the wall quietly and makes us think, reflect or smile.   I love painting for how it is a silent act with a product that exists as a complete original, but also how they can change in different lights and how they offer up something different each time...more
