Some people express themselves and their view of the world best through words. For me, it's art. The medium I choose will be determined by the idea or feeling I want to express.
Sometimes I let the medium, such as alcohol inks, flow and take me along with them on the search for meaning within the movement. With my pen and watercolor artwork, it's all about sharing the places I've been or the places I'd like to go. I also love the creative freedom of acrylic painting and I am fascinated by the various textures I'm able to achieve.
Ultimately, while I love exploring different mediums, I always feel like I am coming home when I pick up a pen and begin to sketch. Pen and watercolor is my happy place. My comfort zone. My Zen.
Sometimes I create on location, sometimes from photographs. I love exploring places I've been, places I want to be, places that are interesting to me.
