Drawing and painting animals has always been my favorite choice in art and have been drawing since I was old enough to pick up a crayon. Art is part of what I do, not just something to do. I hold a degree in Commercial Art, worked in graphic and commercial art for several years, and studied Studio Art at the University of California, Riverside.
My favorite subjects are animals, especially wild animals and birds. I have recently completed several hummingbird works and have been lucky enough to have my work selected for the Rockport-Fulton Hummer Bird Festival T-Shirt Art contest for 2014 and 2015. More recently my work titled 'Catch of the Day' was selected for the 2016 Port Aransas Whooping Crane Festival T-Shirt art. My medias of choice are pen and ink, colored pencil, watercolor and the extremely versatile watercolor pencil. I have really grown to enjoy the watercolor pencil and it's versatility. I am currently a member of the Rockport Center for the Arts and the Corpus Christi Art Center.
