Sharlotte Hardin Hughes grew up in rural, central Arkansas during the 1950's and 1960's.   She graduated high school in 1968 and went on to study interior decor at a vocational school before attending the University of Arkansas to study art and journalism.   Other than a smattering of education in art related subjects she is self taught.   In 1970 she married her high school sweetheart after he ended his military duty in Viet Nam.   They started a family several years later.   She and her husband have two children and three grandchildren...more
