Mitch Lyman was born and raised in the heart of the Midwest U.S.   He developed an interest in art at a very young age and early in his life did pen and ink art for a popular sporting magazine.   Mitch took a long hiatus from art to finish college and graduate school, build a career and raise a family.   Although not actively creating art himself, during this period he spent free time admiring the works of many accomplished wildlife, abstract and landscape artists.   As his children aged and became more independent Mitch decided to pick up acrylic paints and set out to teach himself...more
