A Los Angeles native, JT Lauritz graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 1994 with a BA in Fine Art.   After college he worked as a faux finisher in Los Angeles as well as doing set designs.   As a faux finisher he learned many of the special techniques utilized in his mixed media paintings.   He currently resides in Eastern Tennessee and, especially, enjoys plein air oil painting at the local Ocoee River.   JT Lauritz’ paintings are on display in private collections all over the United States.
