I am an artist from High Point, North Carolina, U.S.A., or, to be exact, I am a citizen of the world since in my adult life, I have lived in 12 cities, five countries, and three continents. I have loved to draw since I was little and I am a student of all great artists present and past. I speak five languages and hold an M.A. degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures (Spanish) from a U.S. university with a 4.0 /4.0 GPA (Grade Point Average). I worked as a translator and interpreter for many years. Besides art and languages, I also enjoy a variety of other hobbies and interest, such as reading, writing, cooking, playing the piano and violin, gardening, swimming, kayaking, biking, hiking, jogging, photography, and traveling. I am a lifetime learner and believe learning is its own reward.
My drawing, 'A Cat Called Dobby', won second place in the Drawing category in an art competition in the Great High Point Area in April, 2019. It went on to win third place (bronze medal) in the Drawing category on the North Carolina State-level contest. In the same event, I won first place in all four categories in the writing competitions (poem, short story, life story, and essay) at the city level. My writings were done in English competing against native speakers.
