I have been shooting pictures since high school when I purchased a used twin-lens reflex camera from a teacher. Since that time I have maintained an interest in photographing places and things. Several years ago I began writing travel articles for various magazines and newspapers. That provided the opportunity to visit many scenic and unusual places. It has made me realize how beautiful the United States, and particularly my home state of Tennessee, is.
My techniques are simple. Nothing fancy. That would probably detract from the work's intended purpose. I have used several formats: 35mm, 6 x 7, and now digital. From the resulting images for art shows, I select the most appealing. Then I print the chosen photographs on acid-free paper, mat and mount each piece using archival materials. Finally, I frame some leaving a selection unframed so the potential buyer can customize the piece to their environs.

Most images are available in many choices of sizes and formats, as canvas and metal prints, framed print, mug prints, greeting cards, tote bags, throw pillows, duvet covers, and much more. For me, the joy is in seeing a work from idea, to viewfinder, to finished work of art. That is worth the effort. And it makes me proud.
