Started in photography in 1964 at 9 years old.   We were in Paris and my Mom just wanted me out of her hair.   So she handed me her brand new Nikon F and told me to go find something to do.   She never asked for it back.   A few years later in 1968, we moved to Santa Barbara where I starting working on the yearbooks in school, and met some older Brooks Institute students that taught me about 10 zones of gray-scale and more about processing film.   I believe in 10-zone photographic processing, but at some point, the art is more important than the...more
