Inspired by Edgar Rice Burrough's, A Princess of Mars: After the breakdown of the Atmosphere Factory that sustains the red planet's waning air supply - thus endangering all life on Barsoom - John Carter soon succumbs to asphyxiation.
He is saved by Dejah Thoris, Princess of Zootopia, when she returns Carter to his home planet - Earth - with the aid of telekinetic power she draws from the orbicles of her living symbiont headgear, the Fin Cephalarvum.
