Description
Table top football or foosball was invented by Harold Thornton in 1921 and patented in 1923. Patent number is 205 911.
You do still see alot of these table top games around but they are fading as technology takes over.
Heres a brief description on how to play,
To begin the game, the ball is served through a hole at the side of the table, or simply placed by hand at the feet of a figure in the center of the table. The initial serving side is decided with a coin toss. Players attempt to use figures mounted on rotating bars to kick the ball into the opposing goal. Expert players have been known to move balls at speeds up to 56 km/h (35 mph) in competition. Great fun for all ages.

A very creative subject and capture Clare. The angles and depth of field with the vintage tone make this an excellent piece of art and nostalgia. sharing
