This cluster of wild grapes on the vine was photographed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in the summer. Wild grape vines (Vitis riparia) are also known as riverbank grapes and grow as perennial woody vines. These blue grapes ripen in the late summer and are edible, but more tart than cultivated grapes.
