Description
These are white flowers that grow out of Bull Nettle weed. They are very pretty and pure white. And this pair of flowers were growing on the bull nettle in a shaded section of a wild area nearby me. I thought the way they stood out against the dark background was interesting.
Bull Nettle plants (Cnidoscolus texanus ) have needle hairs on them that sting very badly for 30 to 45 minutes if you touch them and some people are highly allergic to the sap in these plants. It is a perennial herbaceous plant and the seeds and taproot are said to be edible. They are also called Texas Bull Nettle, Tread Softly and Spurge Nettle. They are also called Spurge.
