Description
At the beach on the California coast the waves were strongly crashing into the sandy shore line and causing a slight uproar of waters. The sun was high up in the sky and reflecting on the water and sand. Seagulls were flying over as well. This was taken at Refugio State Beach, west of Santa Barbara, California some years ago on a road trip. I processed the image in a square format because I liked the layered look of the sea, sky and sand.
Refugio State Beach is part of the State Parks System and is a clean and quiet beach. It has hills and Santa Ynez mountains behind it. It is a beautiful area that offers camping and hiking as well.
