Wausau Whitewater Course Out Flow by Dale Kauzlaric -- The Wisconsin River flows through the center of the City of Wausau, Wisconsin. A section of the river is gated off from the main flow as a whitewater kayak race course. The amount of water flowing through the course is regulated by a gate, that can be opened or closed. I went down to the Whitewater Course to see what the flow was like. With the amount of rain we have been getting, the flow was at least twice what it normally is. I waited to do my shooting, to use the sky for a reflection in the color of the water. Here a blue reflection is shown, with the sun below the horizon and the sky a dark blue. This is the look of the lower end of the course with the flow out to the main channel of the Wisconsin River. A long exposure was used to show the water flow and its directional flow with the water this high. -- dalekphotography.com
