Waterfalls On The Hanalei Mountains
Photograph - Photography
The mountain range inland from the town of Hanalei on Kauai in Hawaii, USA is laced with waterfalls. This is a sight that most tourists stop the drive through town to get a few pictures. These waterfalls can be seen from almost any location in and around Hanalei town. As well, this image was shot from the Lookout Point in Princeville, just before going down the hill across the Hanalei Bridge, past the historical taro fields, and into Hanalei.
The town of Hanalei, on the north shore of Kauai in Hawaii, was famous in its own right. However, the singers, Peter, Paul and Mary further enhanced the town’s popularity in 1963 with their song, Puff The Magic Dragon.
Hanalei is a sleepy town that thrives on tourists, with the help of Hanalei Bay, which has always had its own reputation, with several films having been made there. Going back to the beginning, Kauai has always been a prime movie location all over the island. Pagan Love Song, Bird of Paradise, Miss Sadie Thompson, Beachhead, and South Pacific were the first movies made. Since then many, many more films have been made on the island of Kauai with scenes all over the Island, including Hanalei.
