Original watercolor painting, 'Two Hummingbirds', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This piece is inspired by a photograph I took while visiting Wildsumaco preserve, on the eastern slope of the Andes, above the Amazon, in Ecuador. A female Wire-crested Thorntail was flying towards a feeder, and a male Golden-tailed Sapphire was perched on it. When she started to fly in, he turned and looked at her - perhaps assessing the situation and whether she posed a threat to his enjoyment of the food, or not. :) I used a lot of brush strokes to create a sense of movement and life in this piece.
