Original watercolor painting, 'Parry's Primrose and Mountain Stream', by Cascade Colors / Lynn Cyrus. This piece is based on a portion of a high elevation mountain stream I came across when hiking in the Sangre de Cristos range of the Rocky Mountains, in southern Colorado. It was a morning in mid July, and lush green vegetation and wildflowers lined this cascading stream. Small waterfalls flowed over rocks and boulders, and pine forest rose up in the background. A large clump of blooming pink Parry's Primrose wildflowers grew in the foreground, and patches of Mountain Bluebell and other wildflowers grew along the banks higher up. Nature art. I used primarily green, blue, purple, orange, and pink tones in this painting, and it is in a slightly more abstract style. The original of this painting is for sale, and is painted on 140 pound cold press watercolor paper.
