Description
This structure stands 60 feet tall over Iowa farmland, and is constructed using more than 200 metal wagon wheels welded together. Leonard J. Maasdam constructed it in 1994 when he was 90 years old. This photo shows two of the three panels of the old, rusted wheels. The third panel is hidden behind the center post. There is also a fence of more wheels along the perimeter of the area. At some point someone added a white stuffed teddy bear near the top. This unusual sight is visible from the road north of Lynnville, Iowa.
