A straw hat with flowers lies on an antique oak chest alongside a rough-weave basket filled with vintage cookbooks near Houston, Texas, USA. The books were used by my grandmothers and one was published by my daughter-in-law. An antique candlestick lamp rounds out this still life. Also available in sepia. This is a series of three images, all in color and sepia, created for the Books and Flowers Contest.
