View Of The Virgin River 1
The Virgin River originates just north and east of Zion National Park and flows through southwest Utah, northwest Arizona, and eventually all the way to Lake Mead in Nevada. The river is about 162 miles (261 km) long and is a critical source of life for a remarkable array of ecosystems. It was designated Utah's first wild and scenic river in 2009, during the centennial celebration of Zion National Park.
