Description
This was one of many fire bases utilized in support of troops of the 101st Airborne Division in central highlands of the Republic of South Vietnam in 1966. The mountain range stretched west to the Cambodian border and east almost to the shore of the Gulf of Tonkin and north past the demilitarized zone (DMZ) to the north and into North Vietnam. A good portion of the combat during the early days was centered in this mountainous region and a great many lives were lost. You are not forgotten by this artist and veteran. This photography was taken with a Pentax 35mm camera slide film.
